MUSIG Bendigo is excited to bring you the annual Surgical Skills Workshop right here at Monash Rural Health, Bendigo!! Join us to try your hand at essential surgical skills (essential no matter which specialty you are interested in the future), meet like minded people, network with and get to know doctors at various stages of their surgical careers, and most importantly, learn some practical skills!!
Stations are to be confirmed, but we have the following planned:
1. Basic and Advanced Suturing (learn or practice, great for ED rotations)
2. Laparoscopic Simulation and Hand Tying (learn gen surg concepts through a fun game)
3. BCC/SCC excision (essential for upcoming GP rotations)
4. Stryker Knee and Hip Arthroplasty Simulation + Trauma Fix or Replace (learn orthopaedic principles and impress surgeons during rotations)
WHEN: Wednesday 8th May, 5:30 PM onwards
WHERE: MRH Bendigo
WHO: Monash and UniMelb students placed at Bendigo (3B, 4C & 5D)
TICKETS: $12 (includes dinner)
